About 3 Villages

The 3 Villages Community Group was established in November 2019, following a successful effort from a handful of local residents to bring the need for an upgrade to Jirramba Playground to the attention of Central Coast Council. Building on this momentum, a committee was formed, and the organisation was incorporated in May 2020. In February 2024, it became the custodian of Saratoga Community Hall, and in late 2025 began the development of a Community Garden at the Hall.

The organisation operates as a not-for-profit, volunteer-run community group. Since its founding and with the name of The 3 Villages Community Group, the organisation has helped and encouraged residents of Yattalunga, Saratoga, and Davistown to embrace the collective identity of “The 3 Villages,” a name by which the area is now commonly known. The group’s focus is on identifying, improving, and renewing public spaces and infrastructure, while fostering connections across the 3 Villages through events, engaging competitions, and social initiatives both at the Hall and within the wider area, including venues such as Davistown RSL Club.

To achieve its goals, the group undertakes fundraising, applies for government grants, and collaborates with local businesses to secure sponsorship. This approach has proven highly effective in providing the resources needed to bring community projects to life.

At its core, the organisation is committed to empowering residents, fostering community ties and friendships, and supporting all initiatives that enhance the local area for everyone to enjoy.

3 Villages Community Group

The 3 Villages Community Group is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation founded in late 2019 after local residents successfully lobbied Central Coast Council to upgrade Jirramba Playground. Formally incorporated in 2020, the group has since become the custodian of Saratoga Community Hall and developed a Community Garden on the site.

Serving the communities of Yattalunga, Saratoga, and Davistown, the group works to improve public spaces, run community events, and strengthen local connections. It funds its projects through fundraising, government grants, and business sponsorships, with a core mission of empowering residents and enhancing the local area for all.

Leanne Ball

Treasurer

I moved to the Central Coast when I was just two but have spent ten years living in QLD and one year travelling Australia in a bus with my husband and two girls. We also spent one year living in the UK, but other than that, I have lived on the coast all my life, and moved with my family to the 3 Villages in 2017.

Growing up in Erina Heights I attended Terrigal Primary, Erina Heights Public and Terrigal High schools. My parents built a preschool at Kincumber (when there were hardly any houses there) and Dad was a high school teacher at The Entrance, Terrigal and Erina high schools. Both sets of grandparents were also “Coasties” growing orchids, working at the local racecourse, in pest control and a school principal at local primary schools.

Although I studied hospitality, most of my working life has been in admin and bookkeeping along with owning businesses. When a community opportunity presented itself, as the Saratoga Hall Booking Officer, I jumped at the chance right away. Now, I am looking forward to helping the committee expand the use of our wonderful hall for the 3 Villages community!
